Meet the Artist

I’m Issy Vine, a UK-based artist working in watercolour and fine liner illustration. My work focuses on capturing everyday places—streets, buildings, and interiors—and reimagining them through a softer, more simplified lens.
Using clean ink outlines and loose watercolour washes, I explore the balance between structure and fluidity. I’m less interested in perfect realism, and more drawn to how places feel—the quiet atmosphere of a street, the rhythm of repeated forms, or the overlooked details we pass every day.
Much of my work centres around architecture and familiar environments, from local scenes across London and Brighton to cityscapes further afield. By gently distorting perspective and reducing detail, I aim to create pieces that sit somewhere between observation and interpretation—recognisable, but slightly removed, like a memory.
At its core, my work is about slowing down and noticing what’s already there. Taking spaces that are often busy, loud, or overlooked, and presenting them in a way that feels calm, considered, and quietly expressive.
